Chakras

Chakras are energy centres found within many Eastern spiritual traditions. The word chakra comes from Sanskrit and means “wheel,” referring to spinning centres of energy believed to influence physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

Most modern systems work with seven main chakras located along the spine, from the base of the body to the crown of the head. Each chakra is associated with specific qualities, colours, emotions and areas of life.

When energy flows freely through the chakras, a person may experience greater balance and wellbeing. When energy becomes blocked or imbalanced, it is believed to affect physical, emotional or spiritual health.

Many spiritual practices, including meditation, Reiki, yoga, crystal healing and sound healing, work with the chakra system. While different traditions may interpret chakras differently, they remain one of the most widely recognised concepts within energy healing.

The 12 Chakra System

In addition to the 7 main chakras, there are also more chakras connecting us to our higher selves, the universe and grounding us to Mother Earth. PICTURE

There are infinitely more chakras (in our hands joints and beyond)ensuring our connection to the flow of divine energy from the divine to our Earthly bodies.
