Clairaudience

Clairaudience, meaning “clear hearing,” refers to the intuitive perception of sounds, words, messages or impressions beyond ordinary hearing. It is considered one of the primary psychic senses within many spiritual traditions.

People who experience clairaudience may receive information as internal words, phrases, music, names or messages that seem distinct from their normal thought processes. These impressions may arise during meditation, readings, dreams or everyday situations.

Many practitioners develop clairaudience through meditation, listening exercises and intuitive training. As with other psychic abilities, discernment and self-awareness are considered important aspects of development.
